Rev Nick Munack is a minister at Christ Impact Chapel in Leeds, which is a branch from Ghana. Married with 4 children, he has resided in Leeds since 2013. He explained, ‘I was born and brought up as a Muslim until I got converted into Christianity by Methodist missionaries in Ghana who had come from the UK. I entered into ministry in 2010 and moved to the UK in 2013.’

Nick studied at St Hild between 2016 to 2018 after the teaching experience on an Open Day.

‘I was instantly drawn to St Hild because of the diversity and inclusion. Coming on the course, I had zeal without knowledge. On the Open Day, I knew instantly that St Hild was the right place for me. The atmosphere of community, sense of belongingness, diversity and equality. Everyone was treated equally, and we all had lots of support, especially those of us who had English as our first language.’

Nick started a youth church in Leeds in 2019. He explained, ‘It is one of the fastest growing youth churches in Leeds and, as part of missionary skills learnt from St Hild, I also went on to start a youth conference. Over the last five years , we have been organising youth conferences called The Great Awakening Conference with attendees of over 300 people coming from USA, Africa and Europe.’

‘I will advise anyone who is thinking of pursuing studies in theology to choose St Hild because you don’t only study theology, but they also help you to grow as a Christian and into a Christian leader.’
