About Ian
After reading Law at Durham University Ian went on to train for ordained ministry at Wycliffe Hall Oxford during which time he also gained a BD from the University of London. After curacies in Hull and Middlesbrough he served as incumbent of Emmanuel Saltburn (York) and All Saints Marple (Chester), and was the first New Wine Regional Director for the North of England.
Between 2016-2020 Ian worked for the Church Pastoral Aid Society (CPAS) as a leadership specialist for Theological Education, teaching leadership modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in more than half of the TEIs in Britain and Ireland.
Since January 2021 he has been serving in the Diocese of Sheffield as one of a team of Associate Archdeacon/Transition Enablers, a role which is significantly concerned with the coaching and mentoring of clergy as their own roles transition to those of Oversight Ministers. .
